6-5-09 What do June Showers bring?
If April showers bring May flowers then what will become of July? It looks and feels like Seattle. I have the windows open but am too lazy to go get a blanket. Maybe a hot breakfast will do....my electric bill is certainly grateful but come on...
Brianna got 2 D's and an F in core classes. How did I raise such a lazy kid? She doesn't care about her grades since she is not going to "College". Paul Mitchell Beauty Academy costs $13,000! I only made $34,000 last year with a ton of overtime! This year with the economy in the state that it is, there is no overtime so how will the tuition come out of $24,000? And I have to go to school too! In addition to all of the regular household bills and things. She is so picky too about where she will apply to work. The girl has no real experience so she can't afford to be choosy. We told her that if she got A's and B's that we would get her a car and pay the insurance. Wow I would have been valedictorian if I had that offer back then. Guess it wasn't incentive enough for B though. The bank of mom is now closed for the summer so I wonder what will happen next? Stay tuned, I am sure to blog about it!
Summer is upon us and I need to get to UNR to find out what is out there and where I am needed. I am ready to go to school during the week and work the weekends. Social life, what is that? I can knit anywhere and anytime. The cats are just glad to have me home. I will find some social life after I have achieved my super higher education! Grad school here I come!
I have been a maniac knitter lately. I finished my Geisha socks which weren't all that tricky at the toe division once I made up my mind to "just do it". Also I finished a kitty for a baby named Jayden in the NICU. I bonded to him somehow. All I can think of for a reason is that his uniquity touched my heart. I am sure that he will touch other hearts in his lifetime!
Well, the first draft of this blog took an internet crap. I still have dial up and have tried X 2 to get the damn ATT people out to set up the high speed (yet another bill!) but they can't seem to show up on time or at all and I don't have many days off to be dicking around and twiddling my thumbs! Maybe this one will actually show up on the blog page?!?!?!?!
Off to sleep, Harry Potter movie and knitting will usually induce some sort of nap and another baby in the NICU needs leg warmers so.....if anyone knows a real life HP in my age group, I will consider giving up being single. I so love Harry Potter! Hint hint hint....
