Why is it that as soon as you get the white tips painted on and rush to get the topcoat for protection, do you see "flaws" and the white has suddenly disappeared in spots? UGH! Why are toes easier to paint than fingers?
As usual I had something in mind for this entry but with slow internet speed and racing thoughts, damned if I can remember it....
Maybe it was about feeling Nostalgic. I have wondered of late about how people from my past are doing. How they have occupied themselves over the years and how they might be the same or different now 20 some years later. I wrote a letter to someone in Texas who I hoped would be the ex-Marine that I was looking for. The nice man with the same name wrote me back and said that he was not the same and wished me luck in finding the right one. I am really not sure where to look now. I know that Brent Allen Sheets was in the Marine Corps. We met at Mare Island in Vallejo and he was stationed after that at NAS Alameda in 1989-1990 at least. He stole my Oingo Boingo tapes and I kept his Van Halen ones all these years. Well they can still rock a scenic drive! He has or had a tatoo of "Stephanie" on his left arm. He is from Texas and has a son who is now probably in college or even the Corps. If anyone knows him, give him this site as reference that I am wondering how he is. He offered to marry me and be a father to my unborn baby who is now 17 and so grown!
Another name that pops up is Robbie Prezscop. First boyfriend in 2nd grade. He used to run up and kiss me on the playground and then run off. I hated it but he was persistent. I wonder what happened to him?
Rochelle Brouse...we were friends in elementary. She had a wonderful imagination of dragons and castles and things. We lost touch with all the military moving that my family did, only to be reunited in 9th grade briefly. I kept in touch about a year after that but then lost her.
Brian Gibson, what you can get married and never talk to me again? What happened? I thought you were my friend? We kept in touch for so long after 9th grade and into college. I am sure that you are still in the Bay area. What happened?
Oh, and Elaine Daniels and Kristi Kay Laguna, where are you girls? I remember our "Charlie's Angels" days and rollerskating forever around the apartment complex. Again briefly back in touch in 9th grade (1983) and then gone again.
Well, if the internet is magic, then I guess that I might hear of these people who made impact on my life or I would not remember them even now. Odd the things that you remember and when you remember them...
