3/24/06 It is me again of course...

And I am back from surgery on Wednesday night. Safe and sound, pain and vomit free! That is the best part. I guess that I came out of the anesthesia really great and had the slightest bit of nausea that went away with apple juice and ice chips. Man you get thirsty after surgery even though they put all that iv fluid into you, it does nothing for a dry mouth! So, the uterus is in pristine form and ready for the next step: Embryo Transfer! Sorry no theme music available.....
Still have the shots in the belly every day and today I get to add Estrogen injected either into the flank (upper glutes) or the thigh. Since it is humanly impossible to reach the left flank, being right handed, I think that I will opt for the thigh and then on Tuesday, get someone at work to give me a shot in the "flank" that way I am really switching it up. That med is 2 times a week. Then around mid April, I will have to add daily Progesterone shots (thigh or flank) and get to eliminate the belly shots. I am not sure which will be worse? You will have to tune in to find out.
I am really getting sick of work too! I have been there nearly 3 years and UGH! I am done with it. I think that I would like to switch to another department but where would I like to go? And I won't be able to do it until July and should I just wait and get my RN and then go? I don't know. The GC stipend won't kick in until about July cuz it begins with the audible "Heartbeat" so, will have to gear up and get in school mode cuz then I will tackle it like gangbusters!
Well, so ends another exciting entry. Who knows what will happen next?

3/16/06 And they just keep going...

and going and going....
I haven't had the computer for over 2 weeks. Got the new system up and running. My what a difference a flat screen makes! I will be able to "rip" my cds onto the harddrive and then if and when we get MP3s, sync it over to them. There are a ton of extra buttons on the keyboard so I will just have to figure out how to use them as time goes on...
Surgical preadmit today. Weeeeeeee! Blood work, pee in a cup, fill out a zillion and one papers...So, I am all set for surgery on the 22nd. I started giving myself shots in the belly on Tuesday. I also have been taking about 6 pills in the morning and two at lunch and one final at dinner. The shot isn't bad really! It is the tiniest needle that I have ever seen and fat has no feeling so we are safe there. Sunday is the last day for the two pills at lunch and then on Friday, I get to add a two times weekly shot in the arse. Yay! Embryo transfer is coming up quick though! It should be on or about the 19th, 4 days after we move into the new apartment. I am way excited that so many things are happening right now. It is great!

3/7/06 Ahhhh 10 hours of sleep

It is a great thing when you can be so tired that you go to bed at 830 and get up at 530 and don't have to hit the snooze a zillion times! 10 hours of sleep. It was so great that I might try it again tonight. I am here at the computer at 0605 and the coffee is back to instant (I just like it better) and the dryer is going and the sun is coming up. I don't have to be at work until 9 but parking is such a problem, I just may go early to get a decent spot. I could always knit for a while in the breakroom before clocking in....
The Carrier thing is going great! It is picking up speed now and that is so awesome. I had my water ultrasound and though I thought "smooth walls", there is a cyst so will have that surgically removed on the 23rd and will start meds approx April 1 I think. I have to go to the office on Thursday and get my "schedule" up to the transfer date! Too cool and miraculous and fascinating. I almost think that getting pregnant this way is way more interesting!
The new apartment is in my future too! Fireplace, Garage, slightly more rent but oh well, it is totally worth it for a kitchen window and all the other stuff too! The only slight drawback would be that it is right before embryo transfer so I think that I will have to move for 4 days and then be on bed rest for 4. Not a bad deal really. It would be bed rest in the "new" apartment. Kind of fitting to have a total new start!
Well, off to get ready. Decided on going in early for the parking spot and may clock in a little early too. Drop off new apartment deposit today at 230 and maybe there is a chair massage available today?

3/1/06 Mmm...Lucky Charms

Why are they so lucky? Cuz they get a tour of the inside of my belly! That is why. What reason did you have?
I am very interested in Mala's right now. They are prayer or meditation beads. The magic number is 108, I am going for the wrist ones that are 27, so 4 repetitions are needed for one "round". If anyone knows why they shouldn't be displayed to the public eye, could you let me in on the secret? I understand and fully believe that religion and meditation is a personal thing. But why not wear your mala on your wrist. It would constantly remind you to do the meditations or to assume the feeling of calm that you get from meditating.....I am not sure though so let me know.
Well, I vaguely remember another entry done today about the cat lined slippers or were they gloves???
Off to get milk on the "lucky charms" and make them disappear.

3/1/06 Cat fur lined slippers

I am going to have a pair of these if Phoebe can't learn how to tell time. My alarm doesn't go off at 0230, 0400, or 0420. And there was food already in her dish!!! Maybe cat fur lined gloves (she is pretty soft), or even a purse! UGH! I get so little sleep (by my standards) as it is. I go to bed late (can't sleep) and get up early (refuse to go to work with untamed mane and no war paint). Guess that is my own fault. But why do cats do that? Must leave now to drink coffee...
